The Vintage Airstream

Ojai, California

A 1978 Airstream Sovereign, bought sight unseen on Craigslist and stripped to the frame, reimagined as a writer's office and guest cottage on a ranch in Ojai. Custom cabinetry in Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee with polished chrome hardware — every curve and handle chosen to echo the trailer's rounded exterior. A wood-burning Hobbit stove from England sits on a platform above white birch log storage. The tumbleweed chandelier was found on the side of a road in New Mexico and checked as luggage on a flight back to California. The palette is creamy white and cerulean blue, drawn from the Greek islands, with burnt orange cactus silk pillows as the single rogue accent.
