The Ojai Cottage

Ojai, California

A stone-and-timber cottage in the Ojai Valley, styled to feel as though it had been collecting stories for a hundred years. A fieldstone fireplace anchors the living room beneath colorful Berber baskets and bold original art. Outside, a stock tank tub on the covered porch overlooks the mountains, and al fresco dining unfolds under ancient oaks with botanical linens and wildflowers. Every detail — from the arched wooden door with its iron speakeasy grate to the cast-iron birds in flight on the entry wall — was chosen to blur the line between indoors and out.
